Terms of Use

Cortex Dating Ltd, a company based in Kenya, operates Cortex. These terms are an agreement between you and Cortex Dating Ltd.

Cortex is strictly for people aged 18 and above. Date of birth is required at registration.

One person may hold one account. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password private.

You must complete the cognitive assessment honestly and without assistance. The camera stays on during the assessment to protect the integrity of everyone's scores.

Attempting to manipulate scores, impersonate another person, or create multiple accounts may result in immediate closure.

While using Cortex you agree not to:

• harass, threaten, deceive or abuse another member;
• request or send money, investments or financial details;
• share sexual content involving minors or any unlawful material;
• attempt to bypass the consent steps for galleries, chat or contact exchange;
• capture, copy, publish or distribute another member's private photographs;
• use automated tools, scrapers or reverse engineering against the service.

Reports are reviewed and may lead to warnings, suspension or permanent removal.

Photographs are captured live within Cortex and remain private until both members agree to unlock galleries.

You keep ownership of your photographs. You grant Cortex only the permission needed to store and display them to members you have approved.

No application can prevent another person photographing a screen with a second device. Treat every private image with care.

Cortex is free to join and free to use for matching, chat and your private gallery.

Everything in Cortex is currently free, including up to 4 assessments a month and Arena tokens (1 free challenge a day, plus Add 1 and Add 3 once a day each).

If paid options are introduced later, prices will be shown clearly before you confirm, and these terms will be updated first.

Contact details are only exchanged when both members agree. Once contact information has been shared, Cortex cannot undo the sharing and cannot control how it is distributed afterwards.

Cortex provides a way to meet people. It does not guarantee matches, replies, relationships or the accuracy of anything another member tells you.

Assessment scores are a compatibility signal, not a clinical or professional measure of intelligence or personality.

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile. Deletion permanently removes your profile, photographs, assessment results, connections and Arena record.

Cortex may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other members at risk.

These terms may be updated as Cortex develops. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
